A New Twist on ‘Prosciutto Wrapped Melon’
Yes- it's easy to swap out sodium-heavy, cured prosciutto with lean sliced turkey, and wrap that around a piece of cantaloupe. I actually enjoy that as an appetizer quite often when I host a dinner party.
However, there's no reason not to experiment!
I took the same slice of melon and pureed it, let it sit in the freezer for a bout five minute, added a dash of nutmeg, and served it along side some leftover, thinly sliced beef. I scattered some diced red onion and Italian Parsley on top and it lent itself to a lovely presentation and nice balance of sweet with savory….
