Frozen Veg- in a Time Crunch!
There are times when I prefer to use frozen veg (I mean frozen veg- "just veg"- NOT veg in a sauce or doused in hundreds of extra milligrams of Sodium or a pre-fab frozen dinner)- and one of those times if I'm cooking in a hurry!
Yesterday, for example, while doing a Boeuf Bourguignon prep for tonight's stew, I realized that the amount of time I spent peeling each individual pearl onion could easily have been alloted to another task, had I used frozen organic pearl onions.
Broadly speaking, I do feel fresh is literally almost always better, but once in a while using a frozen veg as I mentioned above in a recipe can be a real time saver!
