Sweet & Spicy
What a nice way to perk up that lean pork chop, or add some zest to the otherwise plain old grilled chicken breast!
Add something sweet! No- not ketchup or a glass of soda, I'm taking about FRUIT!
Not just fruit, fruit with some spice!
Recently, I made a relish of chopped fresh mango, cilantro, lime juice & a diced jalapeno and served it with a seared, lean pork chop.
Another recent tasty concoction was diced pear, fresh lemon juice, chili powder and fresh garlic, which whizzed in my mini prep, then served on top of grilled chicken.
As we move into summer, how about combining peach, lime & dill as a sauce for baked salmon?
The sky's the limit!
