What is Za’atar and is it Paleo?
Za'atar is a generic name for the Middle Eastern herbs: Oregano, Basil, Thyme and Savory, as well as the name for a condiment made from the dried herbs, mixed together with sesame seeds and dried sumac. It's used in Arabic cuisine.
And, YES, it's Paleo!
It saddens me when I hear accounts of people who claim they've tried being Paleo, but felt bored of eating the same old things all the time.
Gosh, my foods and meals couldn't be further from that description! Every single meal is loaded with colour, flavour, layers of amazing aroma and depth of texture. I can't imagine every being bored following the Paleo diet!
