Christmas Giving
Merry Christmas to you!
Although Christmas Day is already upon us, it’s not too late to give one more gift.
I’m not talking about an extra toy for your kids or another necklace for your mom. I’m referring to the gift of healthy foods to people who cannot get it for themselves.
Being as passionate as I am about getting people to eat a healthier diet, I think often about the sad state of affairs of the food in our country. It is, indeed, more cost effective for families living at or below a certain income level to eat refined, processed junk food that it is for them to eat real, nourishing fresh vegetables, fruit and proteins.
If you have the means and resources to help, please make a plan to do so.
Whether you can give of your time and help start a community garden in the spring, donate funds to local programs in your community aimed at getting kids eating healthier at school or volunteer your leadership skills to develop a new outreach program to get fresh foods to those in need, your kind acts can make a difference.
If we work together, we can make good things happen!
Peace, light and a Very Merry Christmas to you!
