A Good Use For Corn

Look closely at the plastic cup I received my water in today at our hotel and you'll see it says, "made from corn".   

So, think about it, do you also want to eat something that can be used to make a drinking vessel?

I don't!  The closest I'll come to eating a container that my food comes in, is consuming a bell pepper that I've stuffed with ground bison, thank you!

If you'd like to see more about what corn is used for, check out the film, Food Inc.  Amongst some of the more notable items, I recall seeing it used to make diapers and tampons.  And, of course, as a filler in many, many refined products that populate supermarket shelves and fast food restaurants alike.
