Can I Eat Brewer’s Yeast On The Paleo Diet?
Why would you want to?
Many feel that brewer's yeast is a great way to get some of their B Vitamins, Chromium and even protein. In fact, I had a friend who tried to convince me that the only reason he would have a beer after a run was to 'replenish his Chromium!" Hmmmm….
But at what consequence?
Consuming yeast in general can exacerbate Auto Immune Disease, Leaky Gut, Crohn's Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, fatigue and contribute to overgrowth of, well, yeast (!) in the body which does NOT contribute to an ideal environment for which the body to prosper.
Keep it simple- cut it out and rely on the abundance of all the fresh fruit, veg, healthy fat and lean proteins you're eating to ensure that you're definitely getting all of your vitamins and minerals from FOOD!
