Avocado and Nuts- two of the richest sources of Magnesium- make for the base of this easy to prepare sauce. Use it as a dip for fresh veggies, a sauce for steamed greens or toss it with freshly baked spaghetti squash and chopped chicken for a zesty complete meal.
Ingredients
- 1 large, ripe avocado
- ½ cup sprouted almonds
- ¼ cup freshly chopped cilantro, plus a few sprigs for garnish
- juice from 1 small lime
- ½ cup chilled bone broth (or more, depending on desired consistency)
- 1 clove fresh garlic, minced
- dash freshly ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in food processor
- Whiz to combine until a uniform consistency is reached
- If not using immediately, cover tightly with plastic wrap touching sauce to prevent browning (oxidation) from the avocado and use within one day at most
