Need A “Hearty” Accompaniment for Your Stew?
Thinking mashed potatoes?
Think again, as in cauliflower puree!
Tonight, for example, I'm hosting a dinner party and will be serving a braised beef dish on this cold, rainy day. Along with my sauteed greens & salad, (of course), I'll be serving a dish made of steamed cauliflower, which I pureed, then added some whipped garlic, olive oil, lemon, pepper and some roasted walnuts.
All the taste, and then some, without any of those nasty saponins found in potatoes!
