While wild shrimp is an perfectly Paleo protein, the oft seen cocktail sauce is so...not. Typically made with corn syrup, vinegar and sugar, it wouldn't be a wise choice. Here's a version that is!
Ingredients
  • 1 large red tomato, seeded and pureed
  • 1 " piece horseradish, peeled (or more, if you prefer more 'heat'
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
  1. Combine all in mini prep food processor
  2. Whiz until thoroughly combined
  3. Pour into bowl and seal tightly
  4. Let chill at least one hour before serving
  5. Serve with freshly poached wild shrimp
  6. *Also works well as a marinade for poultry or beef
